Hangvető is a common platform for independent artists and labels. It gained recognition as a distributor and an organizer of special events. From the outset we have been involved in festival and concert organization. We are proud to have been organizing world and folk music concerts at the Valley of Arts Festival between 2004-2010. The winds of change sweeping through the industry have brought diversification and newer directions in booking, radio production, and copyright administration. Hangvető firmly supports continuous networking within the region, and provides a local reference point in world and folk music.
CAFe Budapest Contemporary Arts Festival is held for the 26th time, between 6–22 October, 2017. From contemporary classical music to theatre premieres, from popular music to contemporary circus, dance and visual art, the art of our times will again be highlighted in the Hungarian capital during the 17 days of the event series, which is realized in cooperation between Müpa Budapest and Budapest Festival and Tourism Centre. Besides the work of Béla Bartók, the other focus of this year’s festival will be Israel and Jewish art and artists. The affiliated events of CAFe Budapest will again include the Budapest Ritmo world music festival, the Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Central Europe, the Art Market Budapest, and the Autumn Margin Literary Festival and Book Fair.
