The Viennese DJs are indebted to the continent not just in name (Makossa is a Cameroonian genre and dance); African instruments,  rhythms and musicians, singers such as soul and funk legend Hubert Tubbs or Zimbabwean OG Spiritual Godess feature in the precisely layered dub, electro, downtempo and house. After a major breakthrough with Kunuaka at Kruder & Dorfmeister’s label G-Stone, they decided to go their own way, set up Luv Lite Recordings where the next album, ‘Soy como Soy’ came out.
