Last year we’ve had focus on migration and music, with particular focus on the war in Syria and the refugee situation in Europe. We’ve made features from Istanbul, Athens, Berlin and naturally Norway; I also did a very special feature on Iraq/Syria and the role of music among Kurdish fighters against ISIS.

I have been visiting WOMEX since 1997, and I’m a part of the EBU World Music Worshop/World Music Charts panel. Our station is also in charge of the WOMEX Radio Studio.
