Tęgie Chłopy plays authentic Polish folk dance music originating from the Kielce region. They pay close attention to authenticity and perform their songs without simplification or re-arrangements – however, these dynamic dance songs have the same energizing effect on today’s listeners as they did a hundred years ago. Tęgie Chłopy’s repertoire features songs by bands from the vicinity of Łagów and Opatów that played at weddings and celebrations. Join the band for a frenetic Polish dance house experience at Budapest Ritmo!
The event is the part of Polish Focus programme in collaboration with the Adam Mickiewicz Institute.
The Polish dance house is part of the Budapest Ritmo showcase programme, entry is free of charge.
