Daria Butskaya (Dasza) - a violinist, vocalist, graduate of the Academy of Music in Krakow, and an intern at the Moscow Conservatory. Born in Minsk, Belarus.
She is a lover of world music and improvised music, but also she is a laureate of International Competitions in Moldova and Romania ("Remember Enescu"), and she won the "Grand Prix" at the 27th Concorso Internazionale per Giovani Musicisti 'Citta di Barletta'" in Italy.
In 2021, she received a special award for the best instrumentalist, "Golden Geese," at the Polish Radio New Tradition Festival and the 1st Prize named after Edward Mojsak at the 7th Tournament of True Musicians in Szczecin.
She is the founder of the band Hajda Banda and she co-creates the new project Duality, performing original compositions inspired by melodies and songs from the Polish-Belarusian border region, as well as a broad spectrum of World Music and electronic music. The ensemble's instrumentation includes violins, drums, electronics, and white singing.
