Christoph Thoma, 42, CEO of Bregenz Tourismus & Stadtmarketing GmbH between 2013 and June 2016, raising the profile and managing brand communication of Cultural and Festival City Bregenz. He studied trumpet at the Vorarlberg State Conservatory.
Bregenz Tourismus & Stadtmarketing was awarded the prize “City Brand of the Year 2014” at the 9th Culture Brands Awards in Berlin. Thoma had also been CEO at Jeunesse Austria, Bludenz Kultur GmbH as well as Grazer Spielstätten GmbH. He is a city council representative in his hometown Budenz, he filled the position Councillor of Culture July 2015 – June 2016. Currently he is commissioner of Bregenz Capital of Culture in a joint bid with the Rhine cities: Bregenz, Dornbirn, Feldkirch and Hohenems for the title European Capital of Culture 2024.
