Damir Imamović

Damir Imamovic is the Bosnian master of the lesser known, tragically heartbreaking, beautifully sensitive side of Balkan music: the sevdah. He is noted for having opened a brand new chapter in how traditional Balkan music is performed, critics called him the king of sevdah music (the Huffington Post), a true revolutionary of the genre (Sevda Linkas). He played for hundreds of thousands around the world from Paris to Washington, and now in Budapest as well.
