Sekunda*

Sekunda is an exciting new duo from Poland – two master violinists, Dorota Błaszczyńska-Mogilska and Wiola Jakubiec, who together create a captivating musical universe, tastefully balanced between Highlander folk and classical music. Making use of fresh takes and contemporary twists, the duo keeps audiences engaged with an almost cinematically inspired performance. The duo will play on Budapest Ritmo’s Showcase stage, where emerging talent is handpicked for musical explorers. Come join us at Szimpla Kert and hear Sekunda perform in Hungary for the first time!

The event is the part of Polish Focus programme in collaboration with the Adam Mickiewicz Institute.

The showcase programme consists of 45-minute performances by jury-selected up and coming world music artists and performers. Entry to the showcase concerts is free of charge.
