Naked & Lakatos Mónika FolkTrió

Naked & Monika Lakatos FolkTrio is a unique musical collaboration between the Belgrade-based band Naked and the world-renowned Hungarian Roma singer Mónika Lakatos with her folk trio. Their partnership began in 2022 when they performed together at the Babel Sound Festival, and they have been actively working together ever since. Naked is a Belgrade-based band with Balkan roots, playing folk-funk-jazz music and has been present on the Serbian music scene since 2006. Monika Lakatos FolkTrio features Monika Lakatos, a Hungarian Roma singer who won the prestigious WOMEX Award in 2020. The trio performs traditional Hungarian (Lovari) Roma songs while also incorporating music from other cultures. The trio includes her husband, Mihály “Mazsi” Rostás, guitarist and vocalist, along with guest percussionist Máté A. Kovács.
