Szabó Balázs Bandája

The 6th album of cult Hungarian singer-songwriter Balázs Szabó stays in character while moving outside his comfort zone. ‘Keringés’ (roughly ‘Flow’) takes on the big themes of life, treats them with a rich arrangement and strikes a balance between indie and pop, folk songs and rock ballads yet conceding nothing from the melancholy first person angle. Balázs and his band bring new and old material to Ritmo, as well as the wonderful Mónika Lakatos, WOMEX Awardee, who adds still more colour to a couple of songs.
