I am Darek Mazzone, a cultural strategist, media producer, and advocate for global artistic exchange. As a DJ at KEXP in Seattle for over 30 years, I’ve curated a globally focused program that explores the intersections of music, culture, and identity. Beyond broadcasting, I’ve collaborated with organizations like Microsoft, the UNHCR, and NetHope, leveraging technology and storytelling to address global challenges and foster cross-cultural innovation.

As the founder of SAMA: Music & Art, I focus on amplifying the voices of immigrant, refugee, and indigenous artists, creating equitable platforms for underrepresented communities. My work spans public speaking, multimedia production, and advocacy, all guided by a belief in building a polyphonic world where all voices are valued.
