Yalda Yazdani is an Iranian ethnomusicologist, filmmaker, and curator, currently working as a research fellow at the University of Siegen. From 2017 to 2023, she founded and curated the Female Voice of Iran, Female Voice of Afghanistan, and Female Voice of Kurdistan festivals in collaboration with Contemporary Opera Berlin. In 2024, she organized the Qashqai Female Voices event series in collaboration with the Rautenstrauch-Joest-Museum in Cologne and Ukrainian Female Voices in December 2024, in collaboration with the Ukrainian Institute in Kyiv and Berlin, in partnership with transmusicale e.V. Since 2023, she has also been the artistic director of the Inner Unity Ensemble in collaboration with the Duisburg Philharmonic.
