Ilka Kisgyörgy grew up in Transylvania, where traditional music was part of everyday life. Originally trained as a civil engineer in Cluj, she later moved to Budapest to pursue music and studied jazz vocals at the Liszt Academy. As a songwriter, she introduces her work through Stories from the Apple Garden, where traditional musical elements are interwoven with contemporary minimalism, acoustic textures, ambient field recordings, and subtle electronic layers. Her songs explore themes of healing, personal transformation, and inner growth.
