Sophie Conin was born in France, has lived in the Netherlands for over 30 years and has a European heart. She has been working as a cultural entrepreneur for more than 10 years, with a focus on the Dutch and European jazz, impro and global sound scenes. Her roles have been diverse from marketeer to festival manager and from programmer to film producer, as have the projects she worked for (Music Meeting Festival, Concertzender, Jazznu, Festival Jazz International Rotterdam, etc.).

Sophie Conin has also worked successfully as a creative producer and business partner with several artists among whom Curaçao percussionist Vernon Chatlein and presently Dutch/Syrian ud player and singer Nawras Altaky. She has developed a broad network among musicians, festivals and programmers, and currently works among others for Festival Jazz International Nijmegen, Sound of Europe Festival Breda and concert series On the Roof in Amsterdam.
