LELÉKA – is a Berlin-based Ukrainian folk-jazz quartet, showcasing the highly distinctive style they’ve been mesmerizing audiences with since more than 8 years. Rooted in jazz, their music reaches beyond the borders of the genre, embracing singer´s Ukrainian roots and the band’s talent for improvisational freedom. LELÉKA, translating to ‘stork’ in English and coincidentally being the Ukrainian folk symbol of love, good fortune and family happiness, consists of an international lineup of four musicians that found each other in Berlin.
LELÉKA was founded by the Ukrainian singer and composer Viktoria Leléka in spring 2016 in Berlin. Their Album “Sonce u Serci” (Sun in your heart) got them nominated as “Band of the year 2022” by the German Jazz Award (Deutscher Jazzpreis). LELÉKA played over 50 concerts in 2022 and became one of the artists that represents Ukrainian culture in Germany and Europe. In 2025, the group released the album „Kolysanky“, dedicated to Ukrainian lullabies.
