Active since 1997 as an independent promoter, he has produced hundreds of concerts across various genres. He has programmed numerous international festivals and events in Portugal, Lusophone Africa, and Brazil. Since 2004, he has been Head of Programming (non-classical music) at Fundação Casa da Música in Porto.
Over the years, he has participated in many international events as a lecturer, consultant, and curator, particularly in Lusophone music. He also coordinates the EU-funded Marimba Project, co-financed by Camões, I.P. and the Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation, supporting cultural and creative industries in Portugal, the Netherlands, Angola, Guinea-Bissau, Mozambique, and East Timor, aiming to boost job creation and income in the PALOP group and East Timor.
