Showcase Day

Budapest Ritmo supports up and coming bands from the Central European region. On the 4th of October Hungarian and foreign bands selected by an international jury take the stage at Szimpla. 

Showcase Jury:

• Simon Broughton – editor-in-chief of Songlines magazine

•  Hilde Bjørkum – artistic and managing director of Førde Traditional and World Music Festival (Norway), chairman of Norway Festivals

• Dejan Vujinović – artistic director of  EtnoFest, Jazziré and Kanjiža Jazz festivals (Serbia)

• Barak Weiss – Artistic Director at Israel International Showcase for Jazz and Worldwide Music

• Tony Van der Eecken – Deputy Director Programming World Music of BOZAR (Brussels, Belgium)
