Lanou*

Lanou takes on a Hungarian interpretation of calm and nostalgic indie folk. Charmed by the voice of lead singer Eszter Tóth, one can almost smell the heat of air in August and feel the slowly turning hours of summer. Eszter’s voice truly shines over the classic carpet of drums, guitar and bass, as she herself accompanies the vocals on the zither, Irish bouzouki and piano. The simple yet unexpected harmony of Lanou would not feel out of place at Woodstock or at underground indie festivals either. The showcase programme consists of 45-minute performances by jury-selected up and coming world music artists and performers. Entry to the showcase concerts is free of charge.
