Central Asia is still a largely unchartered territory for Hungarian and CEE artists looking for opportunities to perform and tour abroad. The countries of Central Asia have a very rich folk tradition, not yet known to the wider public. We discuss potential benefits of a two-way cultural exchange, look at the main stakeholders, festivals and artists in the Central Asian region.
