Three folk divas, three exceptional voices from three traditions; Ági Szalóki, Dina Pandzarisz and Mónika Lakatos debut their unique project at Budapest Ritmo. Hungarian, Sephardic and Vlach Roma melodies intertwine in joyful unison.
Ági Szalóki explores Hungarian folk music and its connection to jazz in her trademark playful and sensitive manner; in acclaimed cross-genre projects as well as albums for kids, making her a favourite with the Hungarian audience.
Mónika Lakatos is a breathtaking performer, a world-class singer of Roma music. Along with her band Romengo they have stepped on to the international stage, claiming rightful fame for their Vlach Roma heritage.
Dina Pandzarisz sings Sephardic Jewish songs with warmth and passion, making her one of the best keepers of this unique tradition, celebrated by many.
Musicians outstanding in their own right accompany the songs: Mátyás Bolya, Sándor Födő „Fodo”, Zoltán Kovács, Dávid Lamm and Balázs Szokolay Dongó. All is set for a moving experience where cultures and heartfelt songs intertwine.
